It’s been said nothing is certain except death, taxes and smaller, lighter, more powerful modern automobile engines.

OK, I made that last part up. But it’s actually true. There are several reasons, such as environmental legalities that have led to engines being made smaller than ever. There is no end to this trend. A small engine today can create as much torque and horsepower as a large bore engine of the past did. All this power in a small package creates more vibration than ever. But, unlike a larger engine that could have absorbed that vibration and power, a smaller engine needs a little help.
