The TransTec Transmission-by-Vehicle app that identifies automatic
transmissions in virtually any vehicle in the world is now available for
Android smart phones and tablets on the Google Play store, and can be
downloaded from Amazon.com for use on the Kindle Fire.
Developed specifically to eliminate confusionover look-alike
transmissions, the Android and Kindle Fire app identifies transmissions
by vehicle make, model, year and engine. The Transmission-by-Vehicle app
includes global coverage through the 2012 model year, and is
continually updated so users always have access to the most current and
comprehensive vehicle listings.
“There was so much demand for the iPhone version of the
Transmission-by-Vehicle app that we decided to make it available
forother smartphones and tablets,” said Patty Richards, senior marketing
manager for Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies. “This app is so easy
and convenient to use, transmission professionals are realizing it is an
indispensable tool.”
The TransTec Transmission-by-Vehicle app was developed to make it easier
to access technical support from Corteco, the supplier of TransTec
brand transmission kits. The app complements Corteco’s popular pocket
Transmission Guide, now in its 10th edition, and builds upon the
company’s tradition of supporting transmission professionals.
The TransTec Transmission-by-Vehicle app can be downloaded for free on
the Google Play store (Android devices), Amazon.com (Kindle Fire) and
the App Store (iPhone, iPad or iPod touch).
