CHICAGO The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) announced at its Supplier Summit here that the 2014 AASA Vision Conference will be held at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C., on Wednesday, March 26.
“The parallels between auto racing and automotive aftermarket suppliers are striking: the spirit of competition, sparked by vision and driven by innovation … ever changing, always moving forward,” said Bill Long, president and chief operating officer of AASA, in his statement. “The 2013 AASA Vision Conference was the best in the event’s history in terms of attendance and member-survey ratings. We are building upon this momentum toward taking the Vision Conference to the next level. Changing the venue for 2014 to Charlotte is another step in that direction.”
“For more than 100 years, racing has driven change through the development and leveraging of the latest technologies, not only as it relates to race cars, but passenger vehicles as well,” said Laura Hill, director of communications, Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA). “We’re very pleased that AASA has selected the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte for its annual Vision Conference and look forward to hosting the top executives from the automotive aftermarket’s leading suppliers here in 2014.”
The AASA Vision Conference is a member-only, content-rich learning and networking event that is an essential part of member companies’ strategic planning processes. The conference speakers and presentations will provide attendees clarity into those elements which create supplier value. Program details will be announced soon at www.aasavision.org
The 2014 AASA Vision Conference will open with a Welcome Reception on the evening of Tuesday, March 25, following meetings of the AASA Board of Governors. The Conference will be held on Wednesday, March 26, and an additional day of AASA council meetings will be held on Thursday, March 27.
