Delphi Product & Service Solutions Announces 18 New Fuel Modules, Senders And Pumps For Almost 13 Million Vehicles

Delphi fuel assemblies are designed to deliver an immediate, uninterrupted flow of fuel to the engine's fuel rail and injectors at the specified system pressure, resulting in more efficient operation, the company says.

TROY, Mich. – Delphi Product & Service Solutions has introduced 18 new fuel modules, senders and pumps added to the company's fuel management portfolio cover more than 12.6 million popular vehicles built from 1985 to 2011, including Nissan, Chrysler, Toyota, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Honda and GM applications. The new part numbers are: FG1016, FG1045, FG1046, FG1056, FG1057, FG1058, FG1059, FG1091, FG1092, FE0479, FE0486, FE0511, FE0512, FE0513, FE0514, FE0515, FE0516 and FL0279.

Original equipment fuel modules, which house the electric fuel pump, typically operate for seven to 10 years before failure, depending on a variety of circumstances. Premature failures can be caused by extreme hot/cold environments, contaminated fuel or excessively running a vehicle on an empty tank. Running on empty does not keep the fuel pump fully submerged and can cause the pump to overheat.

Delphi fuel assemblies are designed to deliver an immediate, uninterrupted flow of fuel to the engine’s fuel rail and injectors at the specified system pressure, resulting in more efficient operation, the company says. Additionally, where required, fuel assemblies include integrated fuel level sensing components that deliver an accurate reading of the fuel level in the tank to the fuel gauge. Fuel modules typically include a fuel vapor pressure sensor that detects any leaks in the fuel tank or associated evaporative emissions components.

In addition, with gasoline retailers now authorized to sell alcohol fuel blends containing 15 percent ethanol, Delphi says all of its fuel assemblies have undergone durability testing to ensure that they withstand up to 22 percent ethanol. In addition, the company has upgraded many older model fuel pumps/modules designs with the latest technologies so that the Delphi replacement fuel pump will perform properly in today’s environment.

Inventory will available throughout Q3 2013, depending on part number. Visit go.delphi.com for specific part information.
