I have a Mitsubishi 3000 GT (Base model). I just installed a new motor in it. When I crank it up first thing in the morning time, I have to let it get to normal running temp., or otherwise it will hesitate if I just crank it up and go. Could this be an ignition control module or maybe a MAP sensor?

An out-of-range ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor is more likely. This sensor overrides all other computer fuel-enrichment controls on a cold engine. A cold engine needs a longer injector pulse and adequate fuel pressure to overcome the mechanical resistance in a cold engine.
