BETHESDA,
Md. To encourage more industry participation during Fall Car Care
Month in October, the Car Care Council is extending a special offer.
For a limited time, the council’s “Be Car Care Aware” point-of-sale
starter kit will be offered at $59, a 25 percent savings. The kit
contains materials to enhance community car care events throughout the
year and can be easily ordered online at
www.carcare.org/point-of-sale-kit.
“As consumers are looking for
more ways to save money during these uncertain economic times, Fall Car
Care Month is the perfect chance for our industry to help motorists
understand how proper vehicle maintenance can help them save big in the
long run,” said Rich White, executive director, Car Care Council. “To
be sure that repair shops, stores and other industry organizations have
the tools to actively participate in Fall Car Care Month, we are
extending this special offer on our popular point-of-sale kits.”
The
kit was designed based on feedback from industry participants, making
it easier to plan and execute community car care events and get
involved with the on-going “Be Car Care Aware” consumer education
campaign. The kit includes consumer education brochures, posters, bay
banners, mirror hangers, vehicle inspection forms, an English/Spanish
countermat and the very popular Car Care Guide.
To give
distributors, repair shops and stores a “test drive” of community car
care events with vehicle inspections, the council recently introduced a
new video loaded with footage of events in several states and candid
testimonials from industry professionals. The video demonstrates how
car care events grow new business, increase traffic, improve employee
morale and build community good will. The video can be viewed by
