Affinia Global Filtration Wins Unprecedented Eighth ‘Spirit of NAPA’ Award

NAPA Filters, manufactured by Affinia Global Filtration, won the Spirit of NAPA Award for three consecutive years in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and is the only eight-time winner.
 
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Affinia Global Filtration has received the NAPA Auto Parts 2010 “Spirit of NAPA” Award, which is the auto parts company’s highest honor for supplier service and performance. This is the eighth time NAPA has presented its top honor to Affinia’s filtration business unit.  

“Our two organizations have sustained a great relationship for more than 44 years by focusing together on quality, innovation and service,” said Bob Susor, president, NAPA Auto Parts. “As we approach a half century of working together, the relationship between Affinia and NAPA remains stronger than ever, all for the benefit of our NAPA retailers and their customers.”

NAPA Filters, manufactured by Affinia Global Filtration, won the Spirit of NAPA Award for three consecutive years in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and is the only eight-time winner. NAPA Brakes, manufactured by Affinia Global Brake & Chassis, is a seven-time winner of the award.

“Our receiving the Spirit of NAPA Award for Global Filtration reflects an incredibly strong collaboration between NAPA and Affinia,” said Terry McCormack, Affinia Group president and CEO. “Through shared core values and a sharp focus on the needs of professional installers, our two organizations are continuing to elevate the level of quality and service throughout the aftermarket. Joining McCormack in accepting the award during the annual NAPA sales meeting in Atlanta recently were Keith Wilson, president of Affinia Global Filtration; Gordon Curren, senior vice president of CRM for NAPA Filters; Jim Bruney, vice president of sales for NAPA Filters; and Dave McColley, vice president of marketing and product management for WIX Global Filtration.

“In accepting the Spirit of NAPA Award, it is essential that we celebrate the incredible NAPA family of 5,000 independent store owners, 1,000 company-owned store managers, NAPA sales team and management,” Wilson said. “It is this talented and dedicated team, working in close partnership with Affinia people, that makes the Spirit of NAPA Award an achievement that we can all share in with pride and satisfaction
for a job well done.”

The winner of the Spirit of NAPA Award is selected by NAPA Distribution Center managers and their teams. Every NAPA Distribution Center receives one vote, which are submitted and tallied at NAPA headquarters and approved by the NAPA Board of Directors.
