DENVILLE, N.J. — Acustrip Inc., the U.S.-based manufacturer of specialty chemical and diagnostic test strips, has opened a U.K.-based sales and support office in Wigan, England.

Lodestar Management Services Limited will represent Acustrip, initially with sales and product support, with a view to carrying inventory as the business grows. Having recently brought a large U.K.-based global customer to Acustrip and having worked with Acustrip in the past it seemed a logical step according to Ron Schornstein, president and founder of Acustrip.

“I have known Ian Jameson, the owner of Lodestar for a number of years and we have worked on several projects together. He has very good contacts in a number of automotive and industrial sectors in the U.K. and across Europe and this, coupled with some new products just launched and in the pipeline, leads us to believe we will now see some serious growth in the UK and European market.”

Founded in 1987, Acustrip manufactures coolant test strips as well as diagnostic test strips for brake, power steering, water quality and DEF. Acustrip currently manufactures a number of products for OEM distribution and has been approved by major auto and equipment manufacturers. For more information, www.acustrip.com.
