LENEXA, Kan. – Automotive Parts Associates Inc. (APA) has selected GCommerce to facilitate electronic document exchange between APA shareholders and vendors to automate the procurement process. In addition, APA shareholders will be using the GCommerce industry solution for special orders, Virtual Inventory Cloud (VIC), for placing non-stock and special orders.
“We are pleased to announce the Professionals Choice EDI and Special Order Solution in partnership with GCommerce. The purpose of this program is to enable cost savings and supply chain efficiencies for our shareholders through real-time two-way electronic document exchange and to provide a single special order solution between APA members and their suppliers,” said Gary Martin, president/CEO of APA. “GCommerce has a proven turn-key process that facilitates adoption through education, and in essence, GCommerce becomes an extension of both the distributor and the supplier, allowing companies of any size or capability to become EDI capable.”
“After a thorough selection process, this partnership was approved by our board of directors. It is easy to see the value that EDI and VIC will bring to our shareholders and suppliers,” said Martin. “We look forward to improving the efficiency and profitability of all APA shareholders and vendors through this partnership with Gcommerce”
“We are pleased and excited to work with Automotive Parts Associates due to their continuous commitment to improving operational excellence for their shareholders and suppliers,” said Rick Main, EVP of sales and marketing for GCommerce. “Our flexible implementation options will allow all APA members and suppliers to participate in the efficiencies of electronic document exchange and automated special orders.”
