CAWA will hold its annual gala dinner the Sunday night before the start of the AAPEX and SEMA Shows on Oct. 28 in Las Vegas. The event, to be held at Caesar’s Palace, is exclusively sponsored by Motorcar Parts of America. The sponsorship allows CAWA to devote all the proceeds from the gala to its scholarship program.

The gala dinner will include a keynote speech from Bob Cushing, president and CEO of WORLDPAC and executive vice president of Advance Professional, who will discuss “The Changing Landscape of Our Industry.”

Cushing joined WORLDPAC via the acquisition of Metrix Parts Warehouse in 1999 and was named WORLDPAC’s CEO in January 2008. Prior to serving as president and CEO, he served as executive vice president, sales and operations, for the U.S. and Canada from 1999 to 2007. He joined Advance Auto Parts in January 2014 via the acquisition of General Parts International, which at the time owned WORLDPAC as a subsidiary. Cushing has held his current position as executive vice president, Professional, since August 2016 and is responsible for the Enterprise Professional organization, which includes Advance Auto Parts, Carquest, WORLDPAC and Autopart International.
