LAS VEGAS — DENSO Products and Services Americas announced a major expansion of its air conditioning compressors, condensers and radiator product lines during a meeting briefing Wednesday at AAPEX.

Haruhiko “Hal” Kato, the company’s new president, introduced himself to the media and kicked off the company’s new product announcements and expansions. An engineer by training, Kato joined DENSO in 1986 after earning his bachelor’s degree from Kobe University and began his career in air conditioning systems research and development.

“DENSO is a trusted brand synonymous with superior quality, value and customer service,” Kato said. “It is my goal to lead the DPAM team in advancing products and services that build on our commitment to meeting our customers’ needs in a manner that improves quality of life for all people.”

“We are adding more than 500 new part numbers to our inventory of engine cooling, and air conditioning air components,” said Fran Labun, vice president of DENSO’s Sales Group. “Customers ask for DENSO because they know our auto parts are built to the highest standards, and we are committed to ensuring our products are there for them.”

“We’re going to add more and more products as the time progresses,” Labun said. “We’ve raised our name and our brand since entering the automotive aftermarket. Our brand is becoming well-known to technicians. And we’re going to continue that progress for the future.”

Between now and March 2016, DENSO will add 100 new part numbers to its catalog of First Time Fit A/C compressors between December and March.  The company also will add 400 new part numbers in December (stock available in March) to its line of radiators, the company said.
