STAUNTON, Va. – The second annual Federated Charity Golf Tournament, held in conjunction with the Federated Auto Parts 400, will benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation.

“The Federated Charity Golf Tournament has become an important addition to race weekend, allowing us to team up with many of our vendor partners who have traveled to Richmond to participate in the Federated Vendor Expo at the track,” said Mike Allen, vice president of Federated Auto Parts. “Through the generous support of the Federated membership and our vendor partners, we are able to help Toys for Tots make the holiday season a little brighter for those less fortunate.”

The Federated Charity Golf Tournament was held Sept. 9 at the Royal New Kent Golf Club in Providence Forge, Virginia. Federated members and vendors enjoyed refreshments and an awards ceremony following the outing.

“We want to thank the 30-plus vendor partners that stepped up to make this premier event a huge success, especially presenting sponsor Federal-Mogul Motorparts and platinum sponsor East Penn Batteries,” continued Allen. “Between the annual auction held at the Federated national meeting earlier this year and this charity golf tournament, we have raised over $350,000 for Toys for Tots so far this year.”
