STAUNTON, Va. — For the fifth-straight year, Federated Auto Parts and Ken Schrader Racing are teaming up to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. The Federated Racing team will be selling pink ribbons that will be placed on the No. 52 Federated Auto Parts car driven by Matt Tifft in the nationally televised Oct. 16 ARCA race at Kansas Speedway. In addition, pink ribbons can be purchased that will adorn the Federated dirt track car driven by Schrader during the month of October.

“It is an honor for Federated to participate in this extremely worthy cause with Ann and Ken Schrader,” said J.R. Bishop, motorsports and event marketing director for Federated said teams. “This is the fifth straight year that the Federated ARCA car and the Federated Modified have gone pink in October and because of the high visibility of Kenny in the racing community, we hope to raise more than ever before for the PINK campaign.”

“Our Federated Auto Parts team has supported the local hospital and its Breast Health Center for the last four years and we are proud to carry on the annual campaign again this October,” said Schrader. “The generous support from our fans, friends and families has been amazing. Each year, our PINK campaign helps women who are battling breast cancer while honoring the many lives that have been affected by this disease.”

In addition to the PINK ribbon campaign, Schrader Racing will offer a variety of merchandise via “Annie’s Attic” on the Ken Schrader Racing Facebook page to raise funds for the PINK campaign. “Annie’s Attic” was created by Ken’s wife, Ann, as a way to fundraise for charities and friends in need, including their dear friend Lisa Meloni, who lost her battle with cancer in September 2011. Meloni worked within the motorsports community and had many friends in racing, who continue the battle against cancer in her memory.
