Floor Plan Revealed For 26th Autopromotec In May 2015

The 26th Autopromotec, the biennial exhibition of automotive equipment and aftermarket products, is drawing close and is expected to be the most complete, specialized and internationally oriented edition ever, event organizers say.

AutopromotecBOLOGNA, Italy – Organizers for the Autopromotec in Bologna, Italy, have unveiled the floor plan for the 26th edition. A new, improved exhibition layout has been created for optimized visitor experience.

The 26th Autopromotec, the biennial exhibition of automotive equipment and aftermarket products, is drawing close and is expected to be the most complete, specialized and internationally oriented edition ever, event organizers say.

Promotec, the company organizing the show, which will be held May 20-24, 2015, at the Bologna Trade Fair Center, unveiled the new floor plan, which, based on an increase in exhibitors (so far more than 10 percent) over the 2013 edition, has been restyled to optimize visitor experience. The show will confirm its regular, established product sectors, but with a new space distribution, thus maintaining the strong “show-within-the-show” orientation that allows visitors to plan their visit according to their professional interests.

The new floor plan in detail
The historical product halls that are already sold out, namely the ones devoted to lifting equipment, tire and tire equipment, will be the same as in the previous edition: halls 29 (lifting equipment), 19, 20 and 22 (tires and tire equipment). Regarding the latter, TPMS innovations will be under the spotlight, in terms of products and diagnostic/reset tools.

The spare parts sector, a regular presence over the past five editions, which has historically been able to draw huge crowds, has been recording positive growth and will occupy halls 16, 18, 21 and part of 15; it will host many longtime regular exhibitors and will welcome new industry-leading companies.

The Diagnostic Hub, a very important area reserved for producers of diagnostic tools, will be further expanded through the addition of new sector players, and will keep playing a leading role in halls 14 and 15, where it was met with tremendous success in 2013.

Major success also seems to lie ahead for the Filling Station Equipment initiative, featuring the most renowned companies in the service station and car wash sectors, which will be hosted in External Area 48 and adjacent hall 25, to have all products and services revolving around car care and car wash gathered under one roof.

Hall 30, which, in 2013, hosted AutopromotecEDU – the arena for in-depth discussions on current issues facing the automotive aftermarket – will be used as an exhibition hall at Autopromotec 2015, and together with hall 26, will host car and body repair equipment and products. Finally, hall 36, which has always been devoted to automotive equipment, will now be exclusively reserved for multifunction equipment and tools, including compressors.

In addition to 13 indoor halls, the showground also will include three outdoor areas: external area 44 will be home to Industrial Vehicles Service, the initiative devoted to commercial and industrial vehicles; area 45 will be reserved for roadside assistance equipment, and area 48 will host service station equipment.

Customer Service: How It’s Done

Customer service should be your number one priority, and it all starts with the greeting.

This is always an important topic to discuss, because I consider excellent customer service one of the most important tools you can have to earn trust, respect and repeat business from the customers that come through your door. Whether that customer is do-it-yourselfer from across town or the professional repair shop across the street, your business depends on a solid relationship. It’s a subject that I am passionate about, and it’s one that many people are losing touch with. Whether you are communicating to someone in person, on the phone or using some type of social media, good customer service and bad can both exist. You can’t afford the latter, so this is the first in a series of topics which can and should be shared from the front of the shop to the back. No matter which role you hold, you represent the shop and yourself. Customer service should be your number one priority.First on the list is the greeting. From the second a customer walks in the door, they need to know you appreciate them coming in and how important they are to your business. First impressions are everything and here’s the correct way to do it each and every time: look them directly in the eye, smile and say hello!Of course, you can say “Good morning” or “Welcome to Joe’s Autocare,” but it should be a formal greeting and the most important thing is that you have smiled, looked them in the eye and recognized that they have walked through the door. You should always retain a formal greeting until you are on a first-name basis with a customer. Only once you have established that level of relationship is it OK to use the less formal greeting of “Hi,” followed by the person’s name. This greeting does more than just indicate respect and appreciation for someone walking through the door. Most likely there are customers both new and old who are in earshot of your conversation. For newer customers, this continues to build rapport and reinforce their positive view of your shop; they see that you demonstrate respect and treat everyone in the same manner. For repeat customers, even ones that have been coming for years, the greeting is important because the way you treat them is the reason they continue to come. And when a long-time customer comes in and you greet them with “Hi [First Name],” this indicates your appreciation for them and that you’re glad to see them as a person, more than just a customer. New customers that witness this will see that your repeat customers are comfortable enough to be on a first-name basis, another indication of the trust they have in you.
