The Friction Material Standards Institute (FMSI) recently honored Dino Crescentini with its newly created ‘Legends of Industry’ award, Dynamic Friction Co. announced.
Crescentini received the award during the FMSI annual membership meeting in Longboat Key, Florida.
“There are few living legends in our industry and we wanted to recognize somebody that has left an indelible footprint on both innovation and utility,” said Rick Jamison, treasurer of FMSI president of ABS Friction. “Dino was the obvious first choice. No one person has contributed more to the aftermarket brake sector as Dino. Much of the new product and development in today’s brake friction market is attributable to Dino.”
Crescentini has devoted his life to providing the automotive aftermarket with an ever-evolving and sensible approach that has benefitted manufacturers, distributors and the consumer alike.
“I am among the few who are fortunate enough to do what they love while getting the opportunity to work with others who have the same curiosity for parts and passion for the industry,” Crescentini said.
