Longtime Users of Epicor Ultimate Software Now Targeting Faster Growth with Epicor Vision

“The Epicor Vision solution offers the fit, ease and growth desired by a full range of parts distributors, including two-step operations as well as those that own and service traditional jobber stores,” Epicor said in a news release.

Epicor Software Corp. announced that several automotive replacement-parts distributors are upgrading from legacy Epicor Ultimate business management software to Epicor Vision to achieve faster growth and stronger bottom-line performance.

“The Epicor Vision solution offers the fit, ease and growth desired by a full range of parts distributors, including two-step operations as well as those that own and service traditional jobber stores,” Epicor said in a news release.

Epicor Vision is a next-generation software solution for parts distributors targeting increased operational efficiency, stronger sales and margin growth and exceptional customer satisfaction and loyalty, according to the company. The software, which can be deployed either on premises or in the cloud, features customer relationship management (CRM) tools, a centralized database, advanced price management and inventory capabilities, accounting, integrated telephony and comprehensive “central-services” functionality.

Among the aftermarket businesses that have or are planning to upgrade from Epicor Ultimate to the Epicor Vision solution are Brake & Equipment Warehouse, Minneapolis; Cee Kay Auto Parts, Moosic, Pennsylvania; Ed Perry Auto Parts, Inman, South Carolina; Full Service Auto Parts, now owned by XL Parts, Houston; Pioneer Rim and Wheel, Minneapolis; and XL Parts.

“[Vision] is far more user friendly, the cataloging is greatly improved over our previous solution, and there’s the excellent category management system,” said Pam Rutledge, vice president of Ed Perry Auto Parts. “The Epicor Ultimate platform has served us well over the years, but there are just so many improvements with Vision.”

Rick Huelsman, president of Brake & Equipment Warehouse, cited the Vision solution’s user-friendly interface and overall versatility as keys to increased business efficiency and improved operational control. “As we continue to grow, we hope the Vision solution will give us added flexibility and allow us to work even faster,” he said.

Also important to Vision users is the Epicor product development team’s aggressive, ongoing investment in innovative new features and functionality. “Epicor is as interested in making Vision the best it can be as we are,” said Kelly Connolly, vice president of finance for Tri-States Automotive Warehouse, Marianna, Florida. “When we come up with new business needs, they are very happy to enhance the system to help us continue to grow in the future.”
