Ohio Valley Automotive Aftermarket Association Announces 2012-2013 Scholarship Winner

Conner Kavanagh plans to attend the University of Northwestern Ohio to major in automotive and diesel technology. He also received a $1,000 award from the University of the Aftermarket Foundation.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The Ohio Valley Automotive Aftermarket Association (OVAAA) has awarded its $1,000 scholarship award to Conner Kavanagh of Richwood, Ohio.  

Kavanagh plans to attend the University of Northwestern Ohio to major in automotive and diesel technology. He also received a $1,000 award from the University of the Aftermarket Foundation.

Applicants for the 2012-2013 OVAAA awards were taken through the GAAS automotive scholarships’ website, www.automotivescholarships.com.

“The Ohio Valley Automotive Aftermarket Association is happy to assist Conner in his education,” said Gary Murdock, president of OVAAA. “We are pleased to be a part of this effort to invest in our industry’s future.”

“OVAAA scholars are typical of the outstanding applications we received this year,” said Pete Kornafel, chairman of the GAAS Scholarship Committee. “Through the efforts of OVAAA and other regional associations, along with the supporters of the GAAS scholarship fund, we are able to assist these students pursuing their dreams of an automotive aftermarket career.”
