Parts Plus Member Smyth Automotive Opens Fifth Warehouse In Columbus, Ohio

Family owned automotive parts provider continues to expand in Central Ohio.

COLUMBUS, Ohio  — Smyth Automotive Parts Plus has opened its fifth warehouse distribution center in Hilliard. The warehouse, located in Franklin County, opened for business on March 2.  The Hilliard location marks Smyth Automotive’s 23rd part location in Ohio.

“The aftermarket industry in Columbus has welcomed us with open arms,” said Jim Smyth, CEO of Smyth Automotive. “We have a very strong presence in Cincinnati and plan to make the same impact in Columbus, and with the way our business is growing here, we will be opening more stores in no time.”

Smyth Automotive Parts Plus now operates four warehouses and one retail location in the Columbus area. Smyth serves the areas of Westerville, Newark, Reynoldsburg, Downtown and now Hilliard. Smyth also has 17 other retail and warehouse locations through Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

Smyth Automotive Parts Plus has a family owned and operated business since 1963. The operation has more than 400 employees, 250 plus vehicles and more than 100,000 square feet of warehouse inventory.

“I have been working for Smyth Automotive since November of 2014 and have enjoyed being a part of such a great and influential company,” said Cane Poston, manager of Smyth’s Columbus warehouse. “The new warehouse will definitely create more opportunities for growth in the Central Ohio region.”
