Pep Boys Acquires Eight-Bay Shop In Connecticut

AutoMaster, a family-run business since 1998, is an eight-bay shop in a southwestern suburb of Hartford.

PHILADELPHIA – Pep Boys announced that it has acquired AutoMaster Service Center in Southington, Conn.

AutoMaster, a family-run business since 1998, is an eight-bay shop in Southington, a southwestern suburb of Hartford. It will be converted into a full-service Pep Boys Service & Tire Center.

“AutoMaster Service Center has been servicing the Southington community for nearly 20 years and is a key addition for Pep Boys as we increase our service-center footprint in New England,” said James Healy, senior vice president of corporate development and strategy for Icahn Automotive Group, parent company of Pep Boys.

Earlier this summer, Icahn Automotive Group said it has agreed to buy Precision Auto Care, which has more than 250 corporate-owned and franchised Precision Tune service locations in the United States.
