GOTHENBURG, Sweden – SKF has made the first deliveries of its low-friction hub bearing units to Mazda Motor Corp. The bearing units will equip the recently launched, all-new Mazda2, which is manufactured at the automaker’s new plant in Mexico, as well as other models to be launched during 2015.
SKF’s low-friction hub bearing units are part of the Group’s BeyondZero portfolio. The company says they are designed to reduce friction by up to 20 percent compared to a standard unit, which can contribute to reduced fuel consumption and have a positive environmental impact.
