AAMCO Targeting New York and New Jersey for Franchise Growth

The company said it aims to open at least 12 locations over the next several years throughout the region.

AAMCO Transmissions announced its “aggressive development efforts” in select cities throughout New York’s Westchester County and in North and Central New Jersey.

The company said it aims to open at least 12 locations over the next several years throughout the region.

AAMCO currently has 35 franchised locations in New York and New Jersey.

“New York and New Jersey are prime territories for our targeted expansion and we are taking the time to find strong potential franchisees to spearhead our aggressive growth over the next few years,” said Brian O’Donnell, senior vice president of franchise sales at AAMCO Transmissions. “Our proven business model, extensive training and ongoing support has fueled the success of our existing franchisees in these two states and I am confident that entrepreneurs looking to open their own AAMCO will be garner the same success.”

With more than 600 locally owned and independently operated centers across North America, AAMCO said it is actively seeking single- and multi-unit franchisee operators to grow the brand nationwide.

Interested candidates should have a minimum net worth of $250,000 and liquid assets of at least $65,000 per unit, the company said. Depending on the real estate site selected, franchisees can expect the total investment to be approximately $223,600 to $330,000 with a $39,500 initial franchise fee.

AAMCO offers financing support for qualified candidates. Reduced franchise fees are available for honorably discharged veterans.
