GRAND BLANC, Mich. — ACDelco has added three free online Techline Information System (TIS2Web) training courses to ACDelco TechConnect to support service professionals and independent shops that provide diagnostics and repair for General Motors vehicles.

The courses are published on ACDelco Test Drive, and are designed to complement ACDelco’s TIS2Web Internet-based subscription service for GM vehicle calibrations, Global Diagnostic System software and Tech2 diagnostic software updates.

The new courses are:
•Multiple Diagnostic Interface Familiarization (S-FN00-20.02WBT): Covers common characteristics of the MDI including setup software, on vehicle operation and the service programming system procedure
•Global Diagnostic System (S-FN00-05.01WBT): Introduces the new Global Diagnostic System, including software and hardware components; setup and operation; and diagnostic procedures
•Global Diagnostic System GDS2/MDI (S-FN006.01WBT): Covers the latest information on software, hardware, components, setup, operations and diagnostic procedures for GDS2.

ACDelco TIS2Web subscription software helps independent service professionals effectively diagnose and repair GM vehicles to save time, grow their businesses and improve customer satisfaction. Pricing packages are available to accommodate shops’ needs.

Independent repair shops are increasing profits and controlling costs by using TIS2Web to bring programming in-house.
“I am able to turn vehicles around faster for my customers and keep my guys working on cars instead of towing them to the competition,” said Brady Bengel, service manager at Town and Country Auto Center in Lansing, Mich. “My customers are happy and my revenue has increased.”

To enroll in the free courses, visit www.acdelcotechconnect.com, click on the Training tab, then “Launch Training” and “Test Drive” on the top navigation bar. Then click on “Web-based Training.”
