Affinia Group To Relocate Headquarters To North Carolina

The transition to the new corporate headquarters will occur in phases during 2014.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Affinia Group has announced it will relocate its Ann Arbor, Mich., headquarters to Gastonia, N.C., home of its Global Filtration group. The transition to the new corporate headquarters will occur in phases during 2014.

“The relocation of Affinia Group’s headquarters to Gastonia will allow us to continue our global focus on innovation and competitiveness, while leveraging Global Filtration’s track record of customer service and market leadership. Given Filtration’s significance to Affinia, consolidation in Gastonia at this time makes perfect sense,” said Terry McCormack, president and CEO of Affinia Group.

“I’m extremely proud of the people here in Ann Arbor who helped us with a resoundingly successful transformation from a North American manufacturer into a true global entity,” McCormack added. “We are in the process of formulating a detailed headquarters relocation plan and will do everything possible to assist our Affinia people during this time of transition.”

Affinia Group began operations in 2004 following the acquisition of the aftermarket business of Dana Corp. Affinia implemented a global transformation program and today serves the world’s leading distributors of light and heavy vehicle replacement parts, as well as industrial markets. Last quarter, Affinia Group reported the highest quarterly sales and gross profit in the company’s history.
