Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance Appoints New Vice President of Sales and Market Development

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance has announced the addition of Jon Owens as vice president of sales and market development. Owens brings his extensive industry experience with him to this newly created position.

“Jon Owens is the perfect addition to our Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper team," said John Washbish, president and CEO of Alliance. "His previous experience will be of tremendous benefit as we continue to grow our footprint at the certified service center level. Additionally, his contacts at all levels of the supply chain will assist us with new member recruitment and establishing a presence with national and regional accounts.”

Most recently, Owens was with Auto 7, and before that spent eight years as a group publisher at Babcox Media (Owens previously served as publisher of Counterman). Owens began his career at The Timken Corp. in 1985 and during his tenure there held a host of sales and marketing management positions.

Owens has his MAAP degree from the University of the Aftermarket and just recently completed a four-year term on the Executive Committee of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA). He is currently a board member of both AAIA and The Aftermarket Foundation, where he also serves as chairman of the Investment Committee.

“Through various capacities during my career I’ve had the pleasure of working with the Alliance team and most of the shareholders. I am honored to have this opportunity to help them achieve even greater success” said Owens.
