The Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance (AAPA) preceded its annual Sales and Marketing Forum with a Sales and Marketing Committee and Information Technology Committee joint session held at the Plaza Marriott in San Antonio.

Following the first day’s meetings, Mauro Cifelli, vice president of sales and marketing at Vast Automotive Distribution and chairman of the Alliance Sales and Marketing Committee, said, “We had a fantastic Sales and Marketing Committee meeting this afternoon focusing on details for programs and promotions in 2017 and beyond. Since marketing and information technology are so closely intertwined in thought and functionality, it was only appropriate that the Sales and Marketing and ITCommittees meet to discuss goals and objectives that ultimately set the tone for Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper for years to come.”

Rick Spugnardi, chief information officer and vice president of Digital Business at Replacement Parts Inc., who also serves as chairman of the IT Committee, added, “Engaging in an open dialogue with our Sales and Marketing Committee colleagues over the next few days will be invaluable to our group’s strategies.”
