STAUNTON, Virginia – Driving the Federated Auto Parts No. 52 car, Austin Theriault and Ken Schrader Racing captured the 2017 ARCA championship Oct. 20 at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City.

“Congratulations to Austin, Kenny and the entire Ken Schrader Racing team on their historic season,” said J.R. Bishop, motorsports and event marketing director for Federated Auto Parts. “From the first race of the season at Daytona in February to the season finale on Friday night at the Kansas Speedway, Austin and the Ken Schrader team have dominated the ARCA season. Everyone at Federated was honored to be along for an unforgettable ride.”

This season, Theriault won seven ARCA races and had 16 top-five finishes. To top it off, Theriault is the only driver in ARCA history to win races in the same year on a superspeedway, short track, dirt track and road course.

Even before the season finale, Theriault, Schrader and the Ken Schrader Racing team had racked up numerous honors, including the Sioux Chief Short Track Challenge Award, the General Tire Superspeedway Challenge Award and the Cometic Crew Chief of the Year Award honoring Schrader crew chief Donnie Richeson.

“Federated has had a tremendous partnership with Kenny Schrader for more than two decades so I know I speak for the entire Federated membership when I say how thrilled we are for Kenny to win the ARCA season championship as a car owner,” said Bishop. “Kenny has done so much on behalf of Federated throughout the years so it’s a great feeling for us to be part of something that is so special to Kenny.”
