BETHESDA, Md. The Auto Care Association has announced today the appointment of Behzad Rassuli as vice president of market intelligence, effective immediately.
“I am extremely pleased to welcome Behzad to the association to head our market intelligence program,” said Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO. “Behzad’s extensive background at the executive and strategic levels in market research and competitive intelligence will bolster our product line, and increase the association’s role and stature as the preeminent source of auto care industry data, trends and analysis.”
Rassuli will oversee the current professional staff: Ron Rossi, director of market intelligence, and Martin Afelbil, senior research analyst.
Since 2010, Rassuli served as competitive intelligence and corporate strategist for the Strategic Insights Group at Carfax in Centerville, Va. His role included focusing on studying the market for new product opportunities, growth strategy and future threats, and identifying new international expansion markets.
Prior to joining Carfax, he was senior competitive analyst for corporate strategy and development for the Corporate Executive Board in Arlington, Va.
Russuli graduated from Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Systems.
