GERMANTOWN, Tenn. The Automotive Distribution Network is hosting a sold-out Network Information Services (NIS) Technology Forum for its member warehouses and manufacturer partners Aug. 2022, in St. Louis, Mo. The event is an extension of the Network’s electronic order processing initiative, according to Mike Lambert, Network president.
“Our expanded NIS staff will provide hands-on training to our members and vendor partners to ensure a seamless transition with our evolving IT solutions, featuring our enhanced PartShare system,” Lambert explained. “The response has been extremely positive, as PartShare’s electronic order processing solution will reduce the cost of doing business between the Network’s member warehouses and our suppliers.”
The NIS Forum also will cover training and roundtable discussions focusing on the latest developments in Network Intelligence, the group’s data warehousing tool, and the Network WebShop ecommerce solution, said Tom Frey, the Network’s vice president of Information & Technology.
“As our membership continues to increase, our NIS staff and services have grown as we discover opportunities to reduce our channel costs using centralized technology solutions, while providing the best information and services possible to our members and manufacturer partners,” Frey said. “The NIS Forum reflects that commitment.”
