Breaking Down The DOT Ratings For Brake Fluid

When you’re recommending a DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid, keep in mind that quality matters.

Brake fluid is so important to the safe operation of a vehicle that it’s regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). 

Before it hits your shelf, brake fluid must pass DOT testing for its ability to stay fluid at low temperatures, resist boiling at high temperatures and other specifications.
