Brewers Car Parts Plus Selects Epicor Vision Software

This investment extends the ACDelco and Pronto distributor's commitment to leading technology and superior customer service.

DUBLIN, Calif. – Epicor Software Corp. has announced that Canadian automotive parts distributor Brewers Car Parts Plus will upgrade to the Epicor Vision business management system.

According to Brewers President John Brewer, the company decided to upgrade to Vision as part of its longstanding commitment to using the best information technologies to help provide superior customer service and support.

An ACDelco warehouse distributor and member of the National Pronto Association, Brewers operates seven wholesale-only locations in southwestern Ontario. The company has been among the first adopters of a variety of now widely used Epicor technologies, including Epicor Compass analytics, electronic document imaging, delivery tracking, bar coding and custom eCommerce solutions. With its move to the Vision system, Brewers will be able to rely on the latest, fully integrated Compass software, native bar code technology, document imaging, delivery tracking, computer-integrated telephony and other leading-edge capabilities.

“Part of our success has come through our ability to offer services that customers at first might not even have known they needed but which eventually became very important to them,” Brewer said. “Our market continues to change and we intend to stay ahead of the technology curve, just as we did with eCommerce. Vision will be the system that helps deliver that competitive advantage.”

In addition to being able to better anticipate and address changing customer needs, Brewer said he expects the move to the Vision platform to help the company automate a broad range of time-intensive processes  including purchasing and inventory control – and free up employees to focus on activities that help drive sales, revenue and customer loyalty.

Brewer said he chose the Vision system following extensive research into the system’s capabilities, including site visits to other distributor operations that are now powered by the technology. Another key consideration was his own experience through the years with Epicor sales, product development and technical support teams, whom he described as “extremely professional.”

“That’s one of the benefits of going with an industry leader,” he said. “Their level of professionalism and support, and their follow-through on our requests, has been outstanding. Our payback on their solutions has always been excellent, and when there’s any sort of problem, they have been extremely easy to work with.”
