University Of The Aftermarket Foundation Funds 174 Scholarship Awards For 2015-’16 Academic Year
The scholarship winners will receive a $1,000 scholarship to advance their education, either at two-year vocational / technical colleges or four-year colleges and universities. All of these students are either attending or entering vocational programs to become mechanical, collision, or heavy duty repair professionals, or are in a business or engineering major that will lead to a career in the automotive aftermarket.

Randy Lucyk, owner of Midas of Kalkaska, an Auto Value Certified Service Center located in the Northern region of Michigan, is the recipient of the Leadership 2.0 Scholarship in the Service Dealer category. Midas of Kalkaska is a customer of Alliance member, Auto-Wares Group of Companies. The other was awarded to Chris Tinkler, manager – inventory management, for Alliance’s Auto Value affiliate, Piston Ring Service of Canada.

GAAS Scholarship Fund Announces Scholarship Recipients In Honor Of Barry Breslow
The scholarships honor the late Barry Breslow, who was an active participant in the automotive aftermarket for many years. Breslow, who passed away in December 2005, was one of the original owners of Autospecialty Inc. and a former chairman of the Auto International Association (AIA), now a segment within the Auto Care Association. He also was a member of the AIA Hall of Fame and a past recipient of the AIA Person of the Year.
