CLINTON, Mo. – Champion Oil has introduced a new SAE 30 grade “Purpose-Built” motor oil specially designed to reduce the potential of engine failure and wear during hard break-in. Champion says the new product was developed with the help of top-tier engine builders.
The formulation is based on the performance achievements of Champion’s current PowerShield Engine Assembly Lube & Oil Booster product. This proprietary technology contains unique high levels of zincthiophosphates, in combination with Champion’s proprietary TVS (Thermal Viscosity Stabilizer), which extends oil film capacity for proper ring seating, according to the company.
Professional engine-builders who use Champion SAE 30 PowerShield Break-In Motor Oil will experience the difference provided by numerous barriers of protection, the company says. The product has been field-tested and is suitable for use in all high-performance and racing type engines, especially those using flat tappet and/or roller cams operating at high RPM’s and requiring high-pressure (stiff) valve springs.
Champion SAE 30 PowerShield Break-In Motor Oil (part no. 4270) is available in 12-quart case lots, 5-gallon pails, or 55-gallon drums.
