CHENGDU, China  — The Chengdu International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts and Aftermarket Services (CAPAS) continues on a solid path to success and sustained growth for the 2016 exhibition, show organizers say. At this year’s CAPAS, there will be a brand new sector, “Commercial Vehicle Zone,” to accommodate an ever-expanding demand within the commercial vehicle industry. This new segment is a welcome addition to the third annual exhibition, taking place May 19-21, 2016, at the Chengdu Century City New International Exhibition & Convention Center.

In its three short years, CAPAS has made a name for itself in Southwest China’s automotive industry, show organizers say.

The commercial vehicle industry is continually growing and its expansion also stands to benefit from the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st century Maritime Silk Road initiative, or “The Belt and Road Initiative.” This is a substantial development approach initiated by the Chinese government to connect, promote and foster more cooperation among countries along the land-based “Silk Road Economic Belt” and the ocean-going “Maritime Silk Road.” This concept plans to connect China’s western, central and eastern regions, as well as parts of Eurasia and regions of Africa.

It is in response to these expanding market trends that the Commercial Vehicle Zone will be launched at CAPAS 2016. The China Commercial Vehicle Parts Market Federation members, including commercial vehicle manufacturers and manufacturers’ dealers, distributors and repair shops in Southwest China will feature their high-quality products and innovative technologies in the newly-unveiled Commercial Vehicle Zone. The federation will also help promote the exhibition through its extensive online platform.

Multitude of expected exhibitors and buyers this year

Global industry brands including Asia-Pacific, ENEOS, Liqui Moly, Luoshi, MagicBullet, MITASU, Olympus, Ruili, Ruiming, SONAX, Songtian, Trainsway, ultrasuede, VIE and Winsafe are highly-recognizable brands that have confirmed their participation in this year’s exhibition and many more are joining soon. The amount of exhibitors continues to increase year after year, with an expanding number of participating businesses and companies seeing the benefit of CAPAS and choosing to be involved.

CAPAS 2016 will be occupying 35,000 sqm and three halls with more than 730 exhibitors from around the world and 16,000 quality global buyers expected to utilise the boundless business opportunities. The exhibition is organised by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Automotive Sub-Council (CCPIT-Auto), Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Sichuan Council (CCPIT-Sichuan).
