Continental recently introduced its new VDO IZI wireless speakers for a wide range of vehicle applications.
The new speakers are designed for wireless connection for streaming music, and they pair easily with any Bluetooth device – including smartphones, iPads and laptops – to deliver a premium sound experience in any application, according to the company.
They also can be connected to a passive speaker to create a stereo sound and feature an integrated microphone for hands-free calling.
Rugged construction and waterproof design make the speakers an excellent choice for 12-volt applications in automotive, heavy-duty, off-highway, marine and powersports vehicles and equipment, according to the company.
Available in black or white, VDO IZI wireless speakers feature a 5.12-inch speaker and a 2x 40-watt (max) / 2x 25-watt (RMS) internal amplifier packaged in a 6.5-by-4.48-inch housing. Front speakers are waterproof to IP68 and rear to IP65.
VDO IZI wireless speakers also incorporate a USB port to charge smartphones and other devices and an auxiliary input for optional devices. Accessories include an external microphone and remote control for volume, source, next/previous, ON/OFF and OFF Hook/ON Hook.
A 12-volt power supply is required for operation.
