This catalog includes 27 new part numbers, bringing the total to 568 part numbers, which cover a total of 8,163 applications. That represents an additional 10 million units in operation, for a total of 176 million units.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – The heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system in a modern vehicle is vital for year-round comfort. In the summer, the air conditioning system quickly cools the interior and in the winter, the heater provides warmth while dehumidifying air to keep windows free of fog. To help owners maintain their HVAC system, DENSO expanded its line of First Time Fit Air Conditioning Compressors and Components to accommodate a wider range of vehicles.
DENSO has just released its 2014 First Time Fit HVAC Catalog that offers one of the most complete product lines in the industry, according to the company. This catalog includes 27 new part numbers, bringing the total to 568 part numbers, which cover a total of 8,163 applications. That represents an additional 10 million units in operation, for a total of 176 million units.

This expanded DENSO product line provides coverage for the following makes: Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Lexus, Porsche, Subaru, Toyota and Volvo. The DENSO HVAC product line includes compressors, accumulators and receiver-driers and expansion devices.
To make it easy to find the correct part, the 2014 First Time Fit HVAC Catalog includes applications by manufacturer, reference information on new numbers, supersessions, complete photo guide by part number, buyer’s guide by part number, cross-reference by competitor and UPC barcode reference.

“When it comes to air conditioning compressors and components, customers can’t do better than going with a unit manufactured by the Original Equipment supplier, said David Jack, senior manager, Thermal Product Management. “At DENSO, we know these units better than anyone. Most people don’t know that DENSO is one of the world’s largest OE suppliers of A/C compressors and components, and our units are specified by most major vehicle manufacturers. At DENSO, we bring together everything we know as an air conditioning systems manufacturer to bring our customers the highest quality line of compressors and components available.”

There are huge safety and efficiency benefits of LED lights for your professional automotive service and repair customers.

In the case of cordless lights, there is a lot more, starting with more light! The light comes from Light Emitting Diode, or LED, technology. When they were first invented, LEDs were a revolutionary development of electrical science, affecting virtually every aspect of our lives.

Now LED lights are everywhere, and we’re all familiar with them, even in our homes, but the automotive industry has reaped the benefits as much as, if not more than, any other industry. Just like a diode, LEDs allow current flow in only one direction. When current, or electron flow occurs, photons are released.
