MONROE, Mich. — DynoMax driver Clay Gilstrap dominated a long, difficult course to finish more than three minutes ahead of the competition and earn his first ULTRA4 victory in the ULTRA4 Hot Springs Race. Other Team DynoMax drivers also posted top-10 finishes: Levi Shirley finished second; Wayland Campbell, fourth; Bailey Campbell, sixth; and Shannon Campbell, eighth. Rob Matzell finished second in the 4500 Modified series race. DynoMax Performance Exhaust is “The Official Performance Exhaust” of ULTRA4 Racing.
“Team DynoMax turned out great performances on a difficult course. We’re excited for Clay and his first win, representing Team DynoMax in such a great way,” said Chris Gauss, director, performance products, Tenneco.
A last-minute decision at the start of qualifying proved to be the correct call for Gilstrap, when he and his crew chose to take a high, right line on the course after watching other drivers quickly get their cars hung up. Despite the car lying down on its side, Gilstrap was able to set the fastest qualifying time to win the Top Gun Award and pole position.
Team DynoMax drivers were among the 28 competing in the 4400 Series, and many Team DynoMax racers ran the DynoMax Race Bullet muffler. The Race Bullet muffler is designed for vehicles with limited space, and features a compact, round, straight-through design for maximum exhaust flow and power. The aluminized or stainless steel design leads to longer life and can flow in any direction.
