Elgin Industries Receives 13th Consecutive JASPER Supplier Award

Elgin manufactures a wide range of valvetrain components for JASPER, including push rods, rocker arms, lifters and valve springs. A majority of these parts are designed and manufactured in Elgin, Ill.

ELGIN, Ill. — Elgin Industries has received its 13th consecutive supplier award from JASPER Engines & Transmissions, North America’s largest remanufacturer of gasoline and diesel powertrain and drivetrain components. Elgin, which is celebrating its 95th anniversary, has supplied internal engine components to JASPER more than 60 years.

Elgin received the 2014 JASPER Service Award, which is presented to manufacturers who provide exceptional service in each of several critical business areas, including product quality, fill rate, accuracy in billing and credit processes and overall responsiveness.

“We have had the honor of working with JASPER for nearly two-thirds of our 95-year history, which speaks volumes about each company’s commitment to product and service excellence,” said Elgin Industries President Bill Skok. “JASPER is one of the transportation aftermarket’s most successful and progressive companies, and we are deeply proud to have earned their trust.”

Elgin has earned dozens of quality awards and has received its certificates of registration to the ISO/TS 16949:2009 Quality Management System and ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System. It also has received its Ford Q1 Quality Certification.
