READING, Pa. – EnerSys, the manufacturer of ODYSSEY batteries, continues as a primary sponsor of the BIGFOOT monster truck team in 2016.
A long-time sponsor of BIGFOOT 4x4s racing and display program, ODYSSEY batteries provide the rugged dry-cell batteries found in the BIGFOOT 4x4s entire fleet of monster trucks, haulers and shop vehicles.
“The punishing conditions of a monster truck race put ODYSSEY® batteries to the test. ODYSSEY batteries feature a three- to 10-year service life and two-year storage life at 77 degrees Fahrenheit (25 degrees Celsius). They are vibration resistant, classified as “non-spillable” by the U.S. Department of Transportation and include a limited two- to four-year full replacement warranty.
“The partnership between BIGFOOT and ODYSSEY batteries has led to many championships for our fleet of race trucks,” said Bob Trent, BIGFOOT vice president. “This partnership even led to the world’s first and only all-electric monster truck, ODYSSEY Battery BIGFOOT No. 20, which will continue to appear at select events throughout 2016.
