Epicor Reports Usage Record For Epicor Integrated Service Estimator Solution

Web-based solution generating nearly 375,000 estimates per month, adds access to tool, accessory and supply providers, Epicor says.

DUBLIN, Calif. – Epicor Software Corp. has announced that the Epicor Integrated Service Estimator (ISE) solution for the automotive aftermarket has set a record of nearly 375,000 completed estimates over a one-month period. According to Epicor, this Web-based solution dramatically reduces the time needed to generate comprehensive, accurate parts and labor estimates, and now features a “Supplier+” tab that offers one-click access to non-application parts, tools, accessories and related products.

120394Epicorlog_00000069964Available through more than 20 leading shop management systems, Epicor ISE is designed to help tire, transmission, oil-and-lube and other automotive service specialists increase their share of the general repair and preventive maintenance categories. According to Epicor, the solution provides nearly instantaneous access to parts and labor information for virtually any common automotive repair or maintenance occasion. Epicor ISE also allows users to electronically check parts availability and order the parts they need for the job with the click of a button, through the Epicor seller network of approximately 26,000 distributor locations. All parts, labor and supplier pricing information can automatically be imported into estimates, work orders and invoices generated by the user’s point of sale system. Epicor ISE is integrated with the Epicor ePartExpert database of more than 8 million application-specific parts, 7,500 manufacturer lines and 22 million interchanges, the company adds.

“By integrating Epicor ISE into your point of sale system, you have the ability to efficiently and profitably expand into dozens of additional service categories, which helps drive sales, margin performance and customer loyalty,” said Scott Thompson, vice president, automotive eCommerce for Epicor. “ISE users have consistently experienced double-digit increases in mechanical repair revenue by using this powerful tool.”

The new “Supplier+” tab now available through the Epicor ISE solution allows users to look up and price a wide range of non-application parts, tools, equipment and other shop supplies. The Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance (AutoValue and Bumper to Bumper) eCatalog for Supplies, Accessories and Tools is the first third-party catalog to be available through the new tab. Epicor ISE solution now also features enhanced integration with ALLDATA repair information to further streamline the estimating process.
