GENNEVILLIERS, France — Exide Technologies has launched a new battery finder app. It uses Exide’s best-in-class fitment information, allowing users to quickly determine the right battery for their vehicles, the company says. The new version will replace Exide’s existing battery finder app, and comes with enhanced graphics, improved user-friendliness, significant performance enhancements and a slick new design, according to the company. Motorbike and scooter batteries also are now searchable in the app, which covers more than 5,000 makes and models.

Exide’s battery finder app is available on iOS and Android, and works on both smartphones and tablets. The same fitment information also is available through the company’s printed catalogues and online battery finder, available at www.exide.com.

“Exide introduced the market’s first battery app in 2011, giving customers access to our best-in-class fitment information on the go,” said Michael Ostermann, president EMEA at Exide Technologies. “The newly released app is even better, with improved design and typography, support for high-definition displays, and the introduction of motorbike and scooter fitment information.”
