STAUNTON, Va. — A night of exciting racing was only one of the highlights of the Federated Auto Parts 400. A vendor expo, fun-filled hospitality and the official start of the Toys for Tots fundraising season were also part of the race day festivities.

Matt Kenseth won the Federated 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race in front of an enthusiastic crowd at Richmond International Raceway (RIR), including hundreds of Federated members and customers in attendance. The “One Last Race to Make the Chase” was also seen live by a national television audience on NBC Sports Network.

Earlier on race day, the well-attended Federated vendor expo was held on-site at RIR. Federated spokesperson and NASCAR legend Kenny Schrader was in attendance, meeting and greeting hospitality guests. In addition, Schrader hosted a driving experience event for some fortunate Federated customers the following day. The Federated 400 marked the start of the Federated 2015 Toys for Tots seasonal campaign and U.S. Marines were on hand to collect donations for the worthy cause.

“The Federated Auto Parts 400 is always a thrilling, competitive race as the drivers go all out to ‘make the chase,’ and this year was no exception,” said J.R. Bishop, motorsports and event marketing director for Federated. “Federated members, customers and other guests had a full day of activities, including attending the vendor expo, meeting Kenny and enjoying the day with each other.”

Several Federated vendor partners participated in the vendor expo and helped sponsor race day activities, including Moog, Wagner, Wix, Brembo, Dayco, Denso, Federated batteries, Gates, Hastings, KYB, Remy, Standard Motor Products and Tenneco.

“As always, we thank our vendor partners and all that helped to make this another memorable weekend for our members and customers,” continued Bishop. “We especially want to thank Dennis Bickmeier, president of RIR, and his entire staff for making it another unforgettable Federated Auto Parts 400.”
