Federated to Continue Relationship with NASCAR’s Kenny Wallace in 2011

In 2011, Federated will be the primary sponsor of Wallace and the RAB Racing Toyota in six Nationwide Series races, including the Federated 300 on July 23, and will be an associate sponsor of Wallace’s car in all other Nationwide races.

STAUNTON, Va. – Continuing a successful relationship that began last season, Federated Auto Parts has announced it will sponsor popular NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace and his race team in 2011.

“We started working with Kenny Wallace last season and the relationship was a great addition for Federated,” said J.R. Bishop, director of racing and event marketing for Federated Auto Parts. “Kenny truly understands our business. Our members and their customers really hit it off with Kenny last year and we had some great hospitality events surrounding Kenny’s races.”

In 2011, Federated will be the primary sponsor of Wallace and the RAB Racing Toyota in six Nationwide Series races, including the Federated 300 on July 23, and will be an associate sponsor of Wallace’s car in all other Nationwide races. Federated will serve as the “Official Auto Parts Supplier” of Kenny Wallace Racing and RAB Racing while Wallace continues in his role as a spokesperson for Federated Auto Parts.

Federated will be the primary sponsor of Wallace and his race team in more than 50 dirt track events in 2011. At many of these dirt track races, Federated will conduct hospitality events for its members and their customers.

In addition, Wallace and fellow Federated spokesperson Kenny Schrader will participate in the fourth annual “Get Dirty with Kennys” promotion, where several Federated members will get a chance to race dirt track cars against these two legends of racing.

In other news, Federated and Standard brand have announced Dale Reed of Reed Tire Center, Stanley, Va., as the grand prize winner of the second annual “Dream Car Sweepstakes” promotion for authorized Federated counterpersons and professional technicians.

As the grand prize winner, Reed received an all-expense paid trip for two to the Mecum High Performance Car Auction in Kissimmee, Fla., which took place Jan. 26-30 at the Osceola Heritage Park, and $15,000 to spend on his dream car. Reed purchased a very rare Barracuda Gran Coupe and a 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS396. As a special surprise, Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace were on hand to meet Reed and check out his new rides.
