Fisher Auto Parts Continues Expansion with Development of New Warehouse Complex

STAUNTON, Va. – Fisher Auto Parts, founding member of Federated Auto Parts Distributors, has acquired a 259,000-square-foot warehouse facility, plus an 80,000-square-foot mezzanine, in Staunton, Va. Once redeveloped, the site will serve as the new warehouse complex for Fisher Auto Parts while the company’s corporate office will expand at its current location.

“Fisher Auto Parts has seen substantial growth in the past several years, in excess of 20 percent annually, and we continue to explore additional options to expand. This new warehouse complex gives us the ability to better serve our existing store locations as well as new store openings planned and any acquisitions that may arise,” said Bo Fisher, CEO of Fisher Auto Parts.

The new Fisher Auto Parts warehouse complex will be modernized with environmentally friendly improvements such as energy-efficient lighting and material handling equipment. Expected to be operational in late 2011, the new warehouse complex will bring many employment opportunities to the local area, according to Fisher.

As part of its plans for growth, Fisher also has received approval for expansion of its Statler Crossing facility, the current site of the Fisher Auto Parts store and the Federated Auto Parts National Distribution Warehouse, to support further Federated and Fisher growth. Fisher’s move to the new warehouse complex will provide Federated with an additional 90,000 square feet of warehouse space.
