THE WOODLANDS, Texas FleetPride has acquired the assets of Springfield Brake Co. in Springfield, Mo., Premier Truck Parts in Harrison, Ark., and Premier Truck Parts of Joplin, Joplin, Mo. Each location operates both a parts counter and drive-in service bays. With these acquisitions, FleetPride will now have four locations each in both Missouri and Arkansas.
FleetPride is one of the nation’s largest independent aftermarket distributors of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, with more than 200 locations in 40 states.
Johnny Johnson is a second-generation owner of Springfield Brake Co., which was founded in 1940 by Herb Johnson. In 1996, Johnny Johnson opened a location in Harrison, Ark., under the entity Premier Truck Parts Inc., and in 1998, opened a location in Joplin, Mo., under the entity Premier Truck Parts of Joplin.
Longtime Springfield Brake manager Allen Lumley will remain with FleetPride to oversee all three locations, and employment offers have been extended to Springfield Brake and Premier Truck Parts employees, FleetPride said.
