Rock Auto Parts - View of Professionals

Guess What Rock Auto Thinks Of Auto Parts Professionals And Why It’s Just Plain Wrong

I don’t know why this video got under my skin as much as it did, other than the fact that it ticks me off that the skilled and knowledgable people I call friends are being maligned in a way that just isn’t fair or accurate.

I’ve probably helped give this video more views that it should have, however, if you haven’t checked out this Rock Auto clip you need to.

It shows a clueless auto parts professional behind the counter. I have to tell you, I don’t recognize the guy. Since joining Babcox Media in 2008 and becoming friends with countless parts pros, I’ve learned that this portrayal of our industry is just plain wrong.

Here’s why: Someone like this isn’t going to last long on the counter. Customers, both DIY and professional, just will not tolerate poor service or employees without a clue. Which is why this type of employee went bye-bye long, long ago.

I don’t know why this video got under my skin as much as it did, other than the fact that it ticks me off that the skilled and knowledgable people I call friends are being maligned in a way that just isn’t fair or accurate.

So, Rock Auto, you can keep your video. I’m keeping my friends.
