KEARNEY, Neb. Hastings Premium Filters recently welcomed distributors to a three-day filtration seminar, dubbed "Hastings University," held at its headquarters in Kearney, Neb.
Distributors from Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, North Dakota, Pennsylvania and South Dakota joined newly hired Hastings employees to learn more about filtration and, specifically, Hastings’ advantages in the marketplace.
"Hastings University is designed to give both our distributors and our employees a deeper understanding of Hastings and how we approach manufacturing filtration products. By including both distributors and employees, both groups gain a different perspective about our filters and their worth in the marketplace," said Steve Englund, Hastings training manager.
Hastings University, which is presented by Hastings design engineers and other staff members, is designed to broaden awareness of today’s filtration theories and practices. Plant and lab tours demonstrate the construction of Hastings’ product line and examine research being done on existing and future filtration concepts.
Information about Hastings Premium Filters’ cataloging, customer service, quality assurance and technical services also are a part of the course. Discussions about preventive maintenance practices and extended oil drain intervals all concerns of today’s heavy equipment operator are also featured during the seminar.
