HDA Truck Pride Holds Second Annual Membership Meeting

The meeting theme, "Building Something New Together," was the foundation for all meeting activities.

ST. LOUIS — HDA Truck Pride hosted its second Annual Membership Meeting April 25-29 in San Antonio, Texas.

The meeting theme, “Building Something New Together” was the foundation for all meeting activities. An audience of 677 attendees representing 123 member companies, 135 vendors, speakers, end-user guests and staff gathered at the JW Marriott in San Antonio to participate in this annual event.

The meeting began with a review of the group’s strategic plan, as CEO Don Reimondo communicated the organization’s accomplishments in 2011, member expectations and the goals for 2012. “Our vision is to be the premier, most cohesive supply chain to the commercial vehicle industry. We have made huge advancements in our key objectives; primarily focused on Technology, Sales and Marketing and Vendor Relations. We’ve introduced a set of membership expectations, including our focus on HDA Truck Pride as a brand. With an overwhelming positive response from our membership and vendor partners, we truly are ‘Building Something New Together.’”

The meeting included sales and marketing presentations focused on corporate identity and training. The Fleet Program was supported by a panel of National Fleet Council Members. The Truck Service Experts Program was taken to the next level, engaging members and TSE Panelists to embrace their full potential utilizing the TSE program. Training sessions throughout the meeting included: service as an option, developing a sales team, hidden treasures and business development manager’s roles and responsibilities. The vendor booth show displayed more than 135 vendor companies, and vendor training highlighted five suppliers in 30-minute presentations. Additional speakers during the event included Larry Silvey of Northwood University, Bill Wade of Wade & Partners and Marc Karon representing CVSN.
