Hellwig Suspension Products has announced the release of its new adjustable rear sway bar for the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra half-ton pickup trucks.
The rear sway bar improves driving dynamics and provides more control for the driver, especially when towing and hauling, according to the company.
“Since the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra entered the light-duty truck scene in the late 1990s, they have been a top choice for drivers looking for a work truck, family hauler and tow rig all rolled into one vehicle,” Hellwig Products explained in a news release. “The 2019 iterations continue this rich legacy with robust powerplant options and a versatile chassis, but do not include that ever-important sway bar from the factory as part of its stock suspension package.”
To enhance vehicle performance and comfort, Hellwig forged its Silverado/Sierra 1500 rear sway bar (product No. 7780) from solid 1 1/8-inch-diameter, heat-treated 4140 chromoly steel bar stock. The sway bar features Hellwig’s signature “ Hammertone” powder coat to prevent corrosion and wear under even the toughest conditions.
For owners of lifted Silverados and Sierras, Hellwig also offers a sway bar (product No. 7784) for trucks with a 2- to 4-inch lift and fits both two- and four-wheel-drive configurations. The sway bars include polyurethane bushings that allow for smooth, squeak-free operation, and the included adjustable end links allow for easy integration for both the factory components and aftermarket suspension setups, according to the company.
Handmade in the United States, Hellwig sway bars can be installed in minimal time with simple hand tools, come with all necessary parts and hardware and are covered by a lifetime warranty on all steel parts.
