MIAMI – A privately held, south-Florida-based, global automotive aftermarket manufacturing and distribution company, has acquired the Hytec Automotive brand, formerly based in Columbus, Ohio. Hytec has integrated its current line of TS 16949 approved water pumps to form The Hytec Automotive Group LLC, and will market a diverse line of TS 16949 automotive aftermarket products, through the current Hytec North American distribution channels.

The unnamed south-Florida-based automotive manufacturer/distributor currently markets fuel pumps, struts, shock absorbers, hub bearings and fan clutches into select international automotive aftermarkets. Through the integration of product lines, the new Hytec Automotive Group now has the opportunity to market a full line of automotive products into the United States, Canadian and International aftermarkets.

“Sales and distribution growth coupled with increased market penetration into the North American automotive aftermarket is one of the main priorities for the new Hytec Automotive Group,” said Bob Van Gorkom, who will continue as president, North American sales and marketing for the new Hytec Automotive Group LLC.

“Through the new Hytec Automotive Group, we will maintain the high standards of excellence in quality, manufacturing and service that Hytec has always provided our North American and international automotive valued-customers.”
