I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota, 3.9, auto, 2wd. The check engine light is on and when I scan it it says I have a "check sum error." The light will not stay off after resetting. Just what the heck is a check sum error and what does it have to do with my truck?

The check sum error code is loss of connection in the PCM. This is most likely an internal circuitry problem, which may ultimately require replacement and re-flash of the PCM. You might want to have this troubleshot at the dealer level before swapping in a new or used PCM, but it sounds as if you are headed that direction.

Hydraulic suspension bushings were developed in response to customer demands for smoother, quieter and better-handling vehicles. To achieve this, sophisticated suspension components are needed.
